Master Gardeners are invited to visit Don and Debbie Lauer’s “farmlette” on Wednesday, July 21, between 10 AM and noon. They have a bit of everything in their huge yard, from fruit trees to raised vegetable beds to a greenhouse to a koi pond, so there’s always a lot to see and usually something new, too. Also, Don has offered to advise folks on how to sharpen their tools, so you are welcome to bring your pruners, loppers, etc., for a consultation with a master.
Their home is at 2017 Calderwood Drive west of Corvallis and north of Philomath. Turn west onto the extension of West Hills Road at the curve where West Hills from Corvallis turns into North 19th Street on the way to Philomath, then take the first right onto Wooded Knolls Drive and follow it to the right turn onto Calderwood. Lauer’s home is the first place on the left, and the big shop/garage is the second drive on the left.
You may park on the left side (Lauer’s) of the road, in the drive in front of the house, or in the drive in front of the double gate to the big shop building. Please do not block the gravel road going back to the neighbor’s home!
Things have opened up as the pandemic winds down (and stays down, we hope!), but you will need to sign in when you arrive in case contact tracing becomes necessary.
